Consisting of a core of extraordinarily talented and energetic musicians, the Ensemble's purpose is to provide performances of ‘cutting edge’ contemporary music at the highest international levels.
The Ensemble’s activities will not be limited to just the festival however. The aim is to profile the Ensemble in such a way that it features as part of the European circuit of contemporary music festivals as well as performing regularly throughout the year at many venues in Scotland.
The Ensemble players all have natural musical ability at the highest level with a strong commitment to contemporary music. With such a strong pedigree, the Ensemble will be well positioned to establish a platform for Scottish and international contemporary music, offering an outlet for new composers and new recordings.
